Located close to Hackbridge Station, our school has been at the heart of our community for over 100 years.
Having been a popular three form entry primary school with a maintained nursery on our Hackbridge Corner site for many years, we expanded to become a four form entry primary school on a split site from autumn 2019. Our additional London Road site is the first Passivhaus Plus school building in the country.
At Hackbridge, we aim to work in partnership with families to enable each child to reach the highest possible standards of learning, whilst encouraging everyone to develop an enthusiasm for life, together with a sense of pride in themselves, our school and our community.
All pupils start their Reception year at the Hackbridge Corner site and remain educated on that site until the end of Year 2. For Years 3 & 4, they move to the London Road site. They return to the Hackbridge Corner site for Years 5 & 6.
All of our Nursery classes (morning 15 hour class, afternoon 15 hour class and full day 30 hour class) are based on our Hackbridge Corner site.
Pupils at either school site will also access the facilities and resources on either school site during each year e.g. the new school playing field on the ‘London Road’ site or the Sports Hall on our ‘Hackbridge Corner’ site, for special events.
Across our sites, the school is very fortunate to have specialist provisions for ICT, Design & Technology and well-equipped libraries. In addition to these, we also have a specialist Sports Hall at our Hackbridge Corner site and a new playing field on our London Road site. On both sites, we have wonderful pond areas providing an ideal space for science and quiet activities. We are fortunate to be able to offer children the opportunity to access age appropriate play spaces as they move through the school.
Prospective parents are welcome to come and visit us - please follow this link to our virtual tours and for details of our available tour dates.

We are extremely proud of all our students and our excellent teachers
At Hackbridge Primary School the safety and welfare of our children is of the utmost importance.
Because of the day-to-day contact with children, our staff are well placed to observe the outward signs of abuse. All adults working in the school must protect children from harm and abuse, including Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Radicalisation/Extremism (Prevent Duty), Children Missing Education (CME) and be aware that any pupil may be at risk of harm or abuse.
We have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of our pupils under the Education Act 2011 and Children Act 1989 through identifying any child welfare concerns and taking action to address them in partnership with families and other agencies where appropriate.
All staff at Hackbridge Primary School have enhanced DBS status and are first aid trained. All new staff are recruited under our "Safer Recruitment" policy and procedures.
