About us
Hackbridge Primary School has three nursery classes which run Monday to Friday, term time only:
Our morning nursery class, Caterpillars, is open from 8.30am-11.30am (15 hours per week).
Our afternoon nursery class, Tadpoles, is open from 12.30pm-3.30pm (15 hours per week).
Our all-day nursery class, Honeybees, is open from 9.00am-3.00pm (30 hours per week).
Funded Childcare Hours
Universal 15-hour free education funding for 3-4 year olds covers pupil places in our Caterpillars and Tadpoles classes.
Parents/carers who are in receipt of 30-hours government free childcare funding for their 3-4 year old pupils can use this in our Honeybees class.*
Please note: Funded hours do not cover the cost of meals, consumables or extra activities outside of the curriculum.
Children attending Caterpillars and Tadpoles are not in nursery during meal times.
Parents/carers of children attending Honeybees can opt to either send a packed lunch from home or to pay for a school dinner at a cost of £2.73 per day.
*If parents/carers fall out of eligibility for 30-hours government free childcare and wish their child to continue in the Honeybees class, then they would need to pay for the 15 hours attended in excess of the universal funded hours. This is currently charged at £10.01 per hour/£150.15 per week and is payable in either one, two or three installments per term (in agreement with the Finance & Operations Manager). If parents/carers do not want to self-fund in this scenario, then their child will lose their place in the Honeybees class, but may be able to transfer to one of our 15-hour classes, if places are available.
